Breakout Box Event- Scaredy Squirrel
Thursday, Feb. 21st, 2:00 PM
A Breakout Box is like an Escape Room in reverse; you must get the box unlocked before the time is up.
Scaredy Squirrel is a squirrel who is afraid of everything! He is so afraid that he has trapped you in his “emergency kit” in case he ever needs you. To get out you must use the clues around the room and solve the riddles before the time runs out!

This workshop will combine perspective drawing with a little bit of imagination.
Children will learn Shading, Angles & Lighting as it pertains to their individual perspective. 
Workshop will be held in the Medway Library Makerspace.  
Class is open to young adults 10 – 16 years old.

New England's General Stores: Exploring an American Classic with Ted Reinstein

The general store is literally as old as America itself. It harkens back to a simpler time and a more innocent and rural nation. The general store was real-life Norman Rockwell - deeply woven into America's cultural identity an integral part of the nation's self-portrait from its earliest days. During this interesting program, broadcast journalist Ted Reinstein shares the rich and colorful history of this iconic institution. There will be a Q&A session and
book
purchase/signing after the presentation ends.

Interested readers are invited to attend and participate in casual discussion of the
monthly book selection. Books are usually available at the Medway Public Library
circulation desk one month prior to the meeting, or are available by request. 
The group meets monthly from 1-2 PM at the Senior Center Library on the
last Thursday of each month with the exception of May.

We have a new addition to the Makerspace.  
It's a KnitKing (Brother) KH 230 Bulky Knitting Machine.  
If you would like to use it,  you must be certified first.   
We will walk you through a small knitting project
after which you will be able to make your own projects.
Please allow 60 minutes for certification. 
Registration is required.   Must be 17 years or older.

Our resident artist, Trudi, will show us how to use oil paints to create a Bob Ross Style painting. 
A light snack will be served and there may also be a few other fun surprises.  
Open to adults 18 and older.   

THIS IS A REPEAT OF THE WORKSHOP HELD ON FEB 6th
(We will be painting the same scene)

An instructor will be in the Makerspace to show you how to print an object.  
You will then be considered "certified" to use it during library hours. 
Please allow 30 minutes for certification. This is first come, first served.
